We love water beads! And last week our water beads obsession was in full mode 😂. My kids could spend hours just transferring them from container to container or creating fun games with them. Here you will find 3 activities with water beads we made and absolutely loved!
3 Activities with water beads: Magic Message
You are going to love this experiment! The clear water beads turn completely transparent when they are under water, so you can reveal a secret message 🕵️♀️.
You need:
✔️ Clear water beads
✔️ Paper
✔️ Water
✅ Place your secret message under a clear container (make sure it is a deep container so you can fit the water beads).
✅ Pour clear water beads into the container and add water for them to grow.
✅ Once the water beads grow, your message will be hidden, so you need to pour water again to reveal your message!
3 Activities with water beads: Rainbow Bottles
These sensory rainbow bottles are super fun to make, and the results are amazing!
You need:
✔️ Clear water beads
✔️ Food colors
✔️Empty water bottle
✔️ A few containers to mix
✅ Separate the clear water beads into 6 different containers.
✅ Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup creating each color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet).
✅ Carefully add the beads of each color into the bottle, creating the rainbow.
3 Activities with water beads: Painting with water beads
Nothing more satisfying than throwing water beads on a paper and seeing them bouncing around. Now imagine doing so while you create a masterpiece!
You need:
✔️ Clear water beads
✔️ Food colors
✔️ White paper
✔️ A few containers to mix
✅ Separate the clear water beads into 6 different containers.
✅ Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup and mix.
✅ Drop some beads over a white paper and admire your creation!
